Sock Exposé - the Mysteries of Socks Revealed!
Master Sock Knitters will present the details of what makes a handknit sock great... and not so great.
Beginning with the cuff and 5 different needle styles, moving down the cuff to the heel flap. Next, 2 versions of heel turning will be presented, then the foot instep, working to the toe and some closure options. There will be a Sock Museum of famous patterns as well as a Pattern Resource Center with many of the old and new books written on the subject. Members are asked to bring their socks, sock questions, books and stories for sharing. Please have all socks, books and yarn marked well with your name as these will all be shared among the members.
Remember, if you are making copies of patterns, you MUST have designed/written the pattern yourself.
